As we hurtle towards a new academic year, we're pleased to announce the UHCW Education Shared Decision-Making Council's Learners’ Café is back. The cafés are relaxed and welcoming events designed to support all learners across UHCW. Whether you’re studying for a degree, enrolled on a CPD course, or supervising learners and placement students, this event is for you.
So come along, meet fellow learners, share your experiences, and find out more about the support available to you at UHCW:
When: Wednesday 30th September, 12 -1pm
Where: 1st Floor Atrium, Clinical Sciences Building
Hosted by: UHCW Education Shared Decision-Making Council and Knowledge and Library Services
- Meet fellow staff members who are balancing work and study; and take some time out with our mindful activities and crafts.
- Connect with UHCW Councils and Staff Networks to see how you can get support while studying.
- Discover the range of support services available to you at UHCW, including resources and tailored training sessions from the library to help you find and understand the evidence you needs for your assignments.
If you can't make it on the day, the Education SDM Council would still love to hear from anyone learning at UHCW. Tell us:
- What’s it like learning while working?
- What helps you stay motivated?
- What gets in your way?
Share your experiences (anonymously) with us and other UHCW learners here:

Your feedback will inform future Education Council projects and help support you and others on the same path.
